Always have a selection of 3"x3" squares of Chiyogami on hand!
72 pieces - 2 each of 36 patterns of classic Japanese patterns for Origami, Collage, or decorating objects.
Vibrantly-patterned Chiyogami papers are hand-printed using the silk-screen technique. In this labourious process, each colour is applied using a separate screen. Sometimes as many as 12 colours, including gold or other metallics, may be used to create a single pattern.
Folding origami with Chiyogami is extremely satisfying because it is very strong and pliable. The fibres are superior to western printer paper which can tear easily and is not forgiving in the folding process.
To decorate objects such as boxes or pencils, use Yamato starch paste.
